Background

In today's competitive environment, keeping costs down is crucial. The Four Seasons is one of Sydney's premier hotels with many employees.

The hotel wanted to allow staff to “clock in” when they arrived at their place of work rather than when they entered the hotel. They also wanted staff to be able to enter the building without the need for assistance from security.

Solution

The Four Seasons Hotel uses customized PeopleKey software designed to meet both their employee attendance and security needs.

To meet the hotel’s staff security requirements, PeopleKey fitted a fingerprint reader on the outside of the entry door and another unit on the inside of the entry door. All staff must verify their fingerprint in order to enter or exit the building.

To meet the hotel’s time and attendance requirements, PeopleKey installed fingerprint readers in various locations within the hotel so staff can record attendance times as well as the time spent working in different departments.

Result

Staff tracking is now a reality at the Four Seasons Hotel. The PeopleKey biometric attendance system provides reports that detail who came and went at what time, as well as being able to check who is still on site.
