Background

Mounties are one of the largest and most successful clubs in Australia. They have thousands of members and employ nearly 400 staff. The club chose to adopt biometric technology for security and employee attendance recording for many reasons.

Management wanted to eliminate manual time sheets and improve the accuracy of employee attendance records. They also wanted to send all attendance data directly to payroll via an interface. Finally, they needed to improve security in the club’s restricted areas.

Solution

PeopleKey installed biometric readers at the access points for the club’s sensitive areas, limiting access to authorized employees only. PeopleKey also provided biometric access to the key safe which controlled access to the club’s remaining keys.

Finally, PeopleKey installed biometric readers for time and attendance recording. All employees use the readers on a daily basis to record their attendance times for payroll.

Result

Managers and supervisors can now view up to the minute reports for each employee’s arrival and departure, and the biometric readers are integrated with an alarm system for tight security.
