Supercharge your biometric network with Fingerlan.

Fingerlan is our core software platform. It runs as a service on a PC or server, and allows multiple PeopleKey fingerprint readers to be connected across a wired or wireless network.  Fingerlan's primary job is to manage the network of fingerprint readers.  Each time someone logs in or out on a fingerprint reader, that transaction is stored on the reader itself and also sent over the network to Fingerlan, where it is archived in a database. Fingerlan can monitor hundreds of fingerprint readers across multiple sites.  In case of a network outage, Fingerlan will sync with all of the readers and ensure that no transactions are lost.  

Fingerlan also allows you to add / edit / delete users and work sites from your biometric system, and to control each user's physical access control settings (who can enter what doors, and when).  For instance, a manager may need access to all facilities on a 24/7 basis, while other employees are only allowed to enter certain work areas, and only between 9-5 on Monday through Friday. Fingerlan makes this possible, and provides an audit trail in case reports need to be generated.

Finally, because Fingerlan archives all of the in and out transactions from your network of fingerprint readers, it is a key component of our biometric attendance solution.  Administrators can run basic attendance reports from Fingerlan using our Transaction Reporter query tool, or install the Tidy Time application for advanced attendance and payroll calculation.
